I’m having so much fun creating my style images and Jazz age is definitely one of my favourites. Cella 52 is the perfect gangster for my Jazz Age story with her short snappy hair style and awesome tatoos. I love this era and androgenous look- Cella, Mum of 4 rocks it.
We were having fun with it, but you so can wear this style out at any age, soften the make up perhaps, a lashing of mascara and soft nude lip. Black jacket and all important hat gives anyone that edge in the style department – Love a hat!
Beauty Chat
I always chat (alot) to my model and part of the whole process is about feel good, comfortable and free to say whatever so lots said stays at the make up chair. I like to share a bit about how my model feels about her ageing journey and general beauty as she ages so I ask a few questions.
- How old are you, if you don’t mind me asking?

- How do you feel about the physical signs of ageing when look in the mirror?
I can see that I’m getting older and don’t really like looking I the mirror!
- Have you or would you consider any intrusive anti-ageing treatments?
I had some plasma treatment under my eyes but would not recommend it and would definitely not have other treatments
- Do you think our societies attitude to ageing has any impact on how you feel about yourself?
Yes, definitely
- Do you think seeing positive imagery of older women can make a difference to societies attitude on age?
I think so. I think women are affected more than men.
- What would your 25-year-old self think about you now?
I don’t think it had crossed my mind then to become a fitness instructor or have children in my forties.
- What is your can’t live without make up product and brand?
My l’oreal mascara

Have you enjoyed the whole photo session experience?
Yes, very much so
Do you think having your make up done is an uplifting experience
It is and also nice to look different and nice for a change
Make up used
The make up was specific for the 20’s feel and I used a smokey blue eye and nails to compliment Cellas fab blue hair that she has at the moment. Full set lashes added for impact. Strong brows to give real animation and I used a nude lip to soften this powerful image.
