Sunshine, baby lambs, daffodils a very much needed glimpse of spring.
There has been little to feel good about at the moment.
Feeling and looking good is a strength that ouses confidence. Now is a time when older means wiser, lets stay strong and with fingers tightly crossed, flowers in our hair and chin up lets spring forward to better days ahead.
I talked about colour wash make up trend for spring in my Go Green story, but natural make up is always a trend and spring into summer a fresh sunkissed make up makes us look healthy and kissed by the sun even if we have seen none. So this week is about being spring ready, strong and confident to face the rocky days ahead.

What would 25 year Old Wendy think of her now?
At 25 I was married with the first of my five children. So what would 25 year old Wendy think of me now? She’d certainly be very happy that I’d full filled my dream of having lots of children. I think she’d also be extremely surprised where life has taken me as it hasn’t all gone to plan. But at the same time she’d be very proud of how I’ve handled the downs. She’d be pleased that I have eventually gained the self confidence to be me, but roll her eyes and wish that I’d found it earlier. (It certainly would have made life easier if I’d trusted my own instincts.) She’d definitely keep going with the skin care routines and healthy life style as that’s definitely starting to pay off now! But she would have told me to sail against the wind a little more often and ruffle a few more feathers if needed.
What is your occupation? Lab Technician and sports coach
How old are you, if you don’t mind me asking? 52 (I think)
Do you do any regular outside activity? Gardening, cycling lots of out door sports and activities
Do you think your own life personal stresses has an impact on?
- How you feel about yourself I have less time for myself when I am busy, so think about myself less too
- How you feel about yourself as you get older Don’t like the wrinkles especially around my eyes
Do you think our societies attitude to ageing has any impact on how you feel about yourself? Yes, but really don’t want to let it
Do you think seeing untouched fun and positive imagery of older women can make a difference to societies attitude on age? Yes
What is your can’t live without make up product? Lip Gloss and Mascara are my can’t life withouts

About This Blog
My aim as a make up artist and positive age warrior is to produce fun, untouched, non- stereotypical beauty images of faces, all different ages 50+ showing great make up and style. It is not about looking younger, just fabulous and hope to capture a little of the character of my models who are all local women.
