As my blog was created for womens beauty over 50 I thought it only right and proper to follow on my bridal make up post for The mothers. So that is Mother of the bride (MOB) and Mother of the groom (MOG) not to be mistaken for a mobsters Moll or a big fat cat.
I love taking the brides Mum away from the hustle and bustle of the day and give her a few moments of sanctury in my make up chair. She usually overlooks herself, caught up in the stress of it all. So important to look and feel good on such an important day. Same goes for the Grooms Mum, but I also give many MOG make up lessons when the wedding is not local.
This story has also given me an excuse to shoot some pictures. Creating two beautiful make up looks on Mel. So many brides say ‘My Mum would like make up, but nervous as she doesnt wear much’. Of course, as a natural make up artist I can reassure all will be well. The first look is a very natural pink glow and the other I went for a 50s glam.
