The Only Way is up - Karen Lockyer Make Up Artist

I have the image of Yazz bouncing joyously to the ‘The Only Way is Up’ .

Of course I am talking ageing not 80’s classics.

Our skin ages slowly with signs beginning to show in our 30’s (Iknow, really!) but this all becomes more evident in our 50’s, 60’s and beyond. Gravity has a lot to answer for, constantly pushing downward. Hormone changes due to the Menopause and diminshing levels of Elastin and Collagen in our skin reduces the plumpness of youth, that, and less muscle tone through age starts dragging us down often in more ways than one.

So, ‘The only way is up – Baby.’

Regular facial massage and facial exercise can stimulate the muscles and bulid tone.

Clever make up can give help too , offering an illusion of youth with a dewy finish to the skin, which creates a warm glow. By concentrating your eye make up all above the eyes with well defined lashes has a lifting effect and an up lifting affect. I work alot with women over 50 and I can genuinely say that even a vry natural make up has such a positive impact on mood and self confidence.
