Snazzy - Karen Lockyer Make Up Artist

We all want snazzy moments, a look we can pull out of the bag at the drop of a hat or what ever the right saying is. Dressing up is all part of the fun when we go out, and I don’t think this changes as we get older, but also dont think alot of those insecurities we had when we were young have changed much either. Still nothing to wear with a wardrobe full of clothes, my hair is too thin, too straight, too frizzy. I only spend 2mins on my make up with this old face???

Everyone can have their snazzy moments regardless of age. The lovely Vicky sat in the hair and make up chair for this red carpet look. Vicky sings in a band so gets more opportunity than most to be a bit snazzy.

I’m known for natural make up, but I still love to add a little razzmatazz to give your make up that extra for those red carpet type events. Hair

As we get older those hormonal changes not only play havoc with our skin, but also our hair. After the menopause the hormonal change can impact sebum production, which may lead to dryness of the scalp and brittleness in hair, and a potential increase in DHT (dihydrotestosterone) sensitivity, which may be linked to hair thinning and hair loss as oestrogen levels decrease.

Occasion make up doesn’t need to be heavy, maybe a bit more groomed than usual. I swept a stronger eyeliner above the eyelash line and added a few natural style lashes that always gives that extra something.
